Quite a cool Peter Cushing Tribute from YouTube.

That was pretty cool. One thing I always thought was interesting is that both Cushing and Lee were in Star Wars movies, but never together. Imagine how sweet it would have been if Christopher Lee was standing next to Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars.
And David 'Frankenstein' Prowse was Darth Vader - I wonder if there were any other Hammer actors in the Star Wars films?
The best I can come up with are Eddie "The Mummy" Byrne and Julian "Quatermass & The Pit" Glover.
And - sort of - Don Henderson: not actually Hammer, but Cushing's eponymous son in The Ghoul...
Great blog you got going on here! Love it! Ive been reviewing a lot of Cushings Dracula films over at my blog for the past few months...my latest one was for Taste the Blood of Dracula, simply loved that movie! But no Peter Cushing in it sadly...
I did see Cushing recently in Asylum, an Amicus film, wasnt all that great of a film, but I enjoyed it. He was better in Tales from the Crypt!
Got a question: any news on Vampire Circus or Twins of Evil ever making it to DVD? I need those two films like crazy! To complete my Hammer collection.
Thanks again.
Sorry for not responding sooner. Vampire Circus had been available as a Spanish Region 2 Import DVD. It was also released in Germany on Region 2 a few years ago, but that version is now out of print and costly.
Twins of Evil to the best of my knowledge only ever got a Spanish DVD release without the original English version.
Will those ever be released in either US/UK? Well, your guess is as good as mine, but given the number of recent Hammer releases I dare say one of these days those two will show up on DVD.
