First Beyond the Rave review

Looks like the first Beyond the Rave review is in.... and it is from none other than Hammer's own Ingrid Pitt. In an exclusive Den of Geek article she describes being invited to the premiere of the new Hammer movie/serial and her reaction to it. Us ordinary mortals will have to wait until April 16 when the first episode will air on MySpace TV.

I'll have to check it out. I've been very skeptical about whether this film is any good or not. I'm hoping it will surprise me.

Saw a preview of the complete film and it's very entertaining. Fast paced and action-packed. Has echoes of Blade and Buffy for the Myspace generation with its MTV fast edits.

The story is a reworking of Hammer's classic Dracula AD 1972, and Ingrid Pitt gives a great performance. Les Simpson, who plays one of the vampires, steals the show. Can't wait to see him in Doomsday.

The first episode goes live on Myspace (17th April 2008), and will be 20 episodes. So watch it!!!!!
